Knights Donate To Stratton VA Hospital

GK John Tuohy, PGK Dick Grimm, and SK Tom Boehlert join Medical Center Director Linda Weiss and Volunteer Manager James Keller (holding banner) at the ribbon cutting for the new blanket warmer presented to the VAMC Infusion Suite at the Stratton VA Hospital's Comprehensive Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Unit. At a cost of over $6,000, the warmer will be used to heat blankets for Veterans receiving cancer treatments.

Donated by the Knights of Columbus Council #246 and Assembly #745 in Saratoga County, the blanket warmer provides Veterans who will be sitting through several hours of tedious treatments a warm blanket to wrap around their shoulders and body.

Stratton VA Director Linda Weiss expressed her heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the hospital and Veterans for the donation, and assured that Veterans will benefit immensely from this magnanimous gift from the K of C. Well done, Sir Knights!
